In Regency Life:
Music continued to be popular throughout the regency and guests would have been expected to entertain each other on the pianoforte, by singing or the harp. In Regency times, Mr Carrington would have made a living touring the assembly halls of the season and performing at grand houses. He is unlikely to have been rich however as the great fortunes were earned by only a few people. At the Regency House Party, Mr Carrington will be an honoured and valuable guest, as he is the only member of the party with any musical talents.
