Shot at Dawn Campaign Ireland

The Irish Seamen's Relatives Association initiated this campaign in Ireland for the purpose of inviting Irish communities and concerned members of the public to persuade the British Government to grant Pardons to Irish born soldiers and other ranks in the British Army who were executed during the First World War for various military offences. The Petition attracted support from across the political and sectarian divide throughout Ireland, the UK and the rest of the world and was closed on 11th November 2004, Armistice Day.
