University Test Act

Until now, only Anglicans have been eligible to teach at the universities of Oxford, Cambridge and Durham. Nonconformists have long campaigned for change, and they have influence in the current Liberal government. This Act opens university posts, scholarships and fellowships to non-Anglicans.
