Edward V abducted

Previous Previous event | Timeline | Next event Next

On his way to London for his coronation after his father's death three weeks earlier, 13-year-old Edward is snatched by his uncle, Richard, duke of Gloucester, and put in the Tower of London. He is later joined by his brother Richard, duke of York. They are never seen in public again, and it is widely believed that Gloucester has ordered their murders.
