This exploration of Churchill's life has been created by the National Library of Scotland and the Churchill Archives Centre at Churchill College in Cambridge, and is based on a major exhibition at the National Library of Scotland in the summer of 1999. Aimed mainly at secondary school students, especially those in Scotland, it uses original documents and photographs to tell the story of one of the 20th century's most important figures.

churchill/default.htm

Well-designed educational site presenting text and documents that allow students to make up their own minds about Churchill's culpability over the massive bombing of Dresden in February 1945. It asks the question: 'Does this cataclysm cast doubt on Churchill's reputation as the heroic icon of 20th-century British history?'
