CRACKING THE CODE
Enigma. Ultra. Bletchley Park. Most people appreciate the role played by Allied intelligence in securing victory during World War II. However, the important work carried out by intelligence operatives during World War I is less well-known and deserves greater recognition. This is particularly true of the efforts of the British cryptographers who worked in Room 40 of the Admiralty Old Building in London.
