Matt Reynolds
Matt Reynolds
As most of the crew say, Time Team is like one big family. The people who work on the programme are passionate about it and that dedication to bring archaeology to people, and especially to enthuse kids, can only be a good thing. After all, it's the young people who'll be looking after our heritage in the future.

Matt Reynolds is an award winning writer, lecturer and historian with a special interest in modern history and 20th century conflict. He has written extensively for the Channel 4 website on a wide variety of subjects, and has also presented for TV.

Professionally qualified as an archaeologist with some 22 years of digging experience through every archaeological period, Matt has worked closely with Time Team for over 8 years as a correspondent. Among numerous series books, computer game scripts and magazine features he's also the author of Greatest Military Clashes (2003) and a co-author of Time Team What Happened When (2006). Matt is Lecturer in Heritage and Environment for Cirencester College Heritage Academy.
