Green glaze pottery

Green glaze pottery
Back    Next

A piece of green glaze pottery. Unknown medieval date. Most of the green glaze pottery has been found together with other kitchen refuse like oyster shells and animal bones. This indicates that it was probably from cooking vessels. Because it's being found in small fragments, it may have just been dropped or broken, swept up and dumped with the other kitchen waste.
