Battle for the Holocaust

Channel 4's Battle for the Holocaust, broadcast on Britain's first official Holocaust Memorial Day (27 January 2001), raised controversial questions about how the world perceives the Nazi extermination. Jewish historians looked at how our understanding of the Holocaust had changed since the Second World War, and asked whose interests are served by the proliferation of museums and commemoration events.
