Having tried all sorts of diets she feels it's time to go to the source of many of the new ideas in dieting and exercise – the United States. She decides she needs to hit the Big Apple and see if she pick up some ideas to shift some pounds.
On the streets of New York Anna delights at the sights, 'there's food everywhere' she purrs.
Before long Anna gets to meet one of the growing number of food coaches who try to guide their clients through the temptations to a sensible, healthy diet. A quick phone call from Anna gets her past her craving for a muffin.
Next up she hears about the new fad – the raw food diet.
Gwyneth Paltrow is supposed to be a fan of this. So, if it's good enough for Gwyneth it's worth a go and Anna tries out a meal. However, half an hour later Anna's not feeling too good – perhaps not.
Time for some exercise and Anna's soon trying out some cheerleading routines which are all the rage for fitness-seeking New Yorkers. They certainly get the muscles working.
Time's up for Anna in New York and back in the UK she discover a highly dangerous form of dieting – diabulimia. She meets Lisa who explains that diabulimia is when diabetics stop taking insulin because it leads to weight loss. However, in Lisa's case it also led to her going blind in one eye and Lisa warns any diabetic against such a highly dangerous course of action.
