For centuries men have been hiring women for sex. But now are women starting to see men in the same way and using them as sexual objects? Increasingly websites are springing up advertising hunky young male escorts, charging up to £150 an hour. But is this really what women want?
This documentary follows the lives of three gigolos and finds out what makes them so desirable. For some, it's lucrative business. Gigolo Frederico claims he earns £100,000 a year: something a novice, like Rico, who is just starting out in the industry, only dreams of as he tries to get his first job.
But the physical side of things isn't always on the agenda as John, who markets himself to older women and thinks he's more of a companion, explains. He argues that women look for an emotional connection more than simply sex.
But what of the women who engage the services of male escorts? The film meets several who pay for sex as they explain what they're really looking for.
