10 Years Younger Special
Sherrie Hewson
On average, 100 people polled on the streets thought Sherrie was 57.
After a week with the 10 Years Younger team of experts, her age was guessed at 43.
Sherrie's real age is 54.
Actress Sherrie Hewson started performing young - her father used to sing with big bands, and by the age of six she was tap-dancing and singing in revues around the country. She trained at RADA and embarked on a long and varied career, with TV parts in Z Cars, In Loving Memory, Lovejoy, Haggard, The Bill and Minder. In her earlier career, she was best known for her regular comedy appearances in Russ Abbott's Madhouse.
She joined Coronation Street in 1993, and played Maureen Elliott for four years. In Crossroads she was nominated for best actress at the British Soap Awards, for her performance as blunt-speaking snobby receptionist Virginia Raven. Sherrie recently joined Emmerdale as battleaxe Lesley Meredith, mum of fishmonger Simon.
Sherrie's long and active career has taken its toll, and although her face is her fortune, it's an asset that's fast depreciating. Long working days and years of hectic filming schedules have left Sherrie - by her own admission - looking tired, jaded and old. Can the experts give Sherrie's looks the major overhaul they're crying out for?
Sherrie had:
Secondary neck lift, secondary lower eyelid surgery and fat removal from upper lids, full face peel and restylane to upper lip and botox by Jan Stanek.
Hair cut and colour by Guy Parsons.
Make-up by Ruby Hammer.
Fashion styling by Nicky Hambleton-Jones.
