| | Actress Sherrie Hewson started performing young - her father used to sing with big bands, and by the age of six she was tap-dancing and singing in revues around the country. She trained at RADA and embarked on a long and varied career, with TV parts in Z Cars, In Loving Memory, Lovejoy, Haggard, The Bill and Minder. In her earlier career, she was best known for her regular comedy appearances in Russ Abbott's Madhouse. She joined Coronation Street in 1993, and played Maureen Elliott for four years. In Crossroads she was nominated for best actress at the British Soap Awards, for her performance as blunt-speaking snobby receptionist Virginia Raven. Sherrie recently joined Emmerdale as battleaxe Lesley Meredith, mum of fishmonger Simon. | |

Can the experts give Sherrie's looks the major overhaul they're crying out for?
