The Adoption Register, which has been run by the British Association for Adoption & Fostering (BAAF) since December 2004, contains the details of both children awaiting adoption and approved adoptive families. A charity which offers help and support to those who are adopted, the birth relatives of adopted people and adoptive families. The charity runs several specialist support groups, includng one for for adults abandoned as babies, and has a network of local counsellors. The Intermediary Service helps reunite people separated by adoption.
