Claire VerityClaire Verity is a maternity nurse with 24 years' experience. Claire revels in her moniker of 'Cruella de Vil' of the baby world and claims that, even though her methods are strict, she can guarantee 100% success. The method she has devised is based on Truby King's routine. Claire often has a clash of opinion with her clients, especially on her rule of not picking up and cuddling a baby too much. She says that breakthrough happens when suddenly the mothers see that their baby is no longer 'unmanageable' and that they have their lives back – it's then, she says, that they accept she has been right all along.

Dreena HamiltonDreena Hamilton trained as a paediatric nurse before starting her own family. She has three children and five grandchildren. Dreena believes passionately that Dr Spock's philosophy: 'Trust yourself – you know more than you think you do', is the correct approach to raising babies and small children. She read Spock's Baby and Child Care twice when her first two children were born, and says he gave her the sense of empowerment to trust her own instincts about what was right for her and her baby. She believes that being a mother should be about enjoying your baby and bonding with it – not about getting in a state if you don't get the routine right.

Claire ScottClaire Scott makes and sells her own brand of baby slings. She is also an active member of the Continuum Concept network. For Claire the Continuum Concept was a completely natural and instinctive way for her to raise her two daughters. She read the book when her first daughter was about 9 months old and adopted its principles from that point on. With her second daughter, she was able to put the Continuum Concept into practice from the start. Claire believes passionately that if families adopt the Continuum Concept, individuals and society as a whole will be much healthier as a result.
