Richard Wawro is one of only 25 recognised prodigious savants in the world. With a lifetime of using art as his primary communication tool, these abilities lie in stark contrast to both his autism and lack of eyesight. Providing a glimpse into the world of a savant, Richard's brother Mike narrates his extraordinary past and offers a personal understanding of his brother’s incredible abilities. The City Inside my Head
Gilles Trehin is an autistic savant artist. Drawing since the age of five, Gilles began developing the imaginary city of 'Urville'. Now 32, Gilles is in the process of publishing his incredibly detailed drawings and demographic statistics surrounding this imaginary French city. Gilles narrates the film as we discover how his childlike passion for lego skyscrapers and aeroplanes turned into a series of detailed blueprints for 'Urville' - the city in Gilles' head.
