Recreational risk

Cannabis plantSome research has found links between early use of cannabis and subsequent heroin use in young people. Also, addiction professionals are seeing an increase in 'poly-drug use' – people using more than one drug. You could argue that an interest in one drug could naturally prompt interest in another. But many people use cannabis and never try heroin, just as many people use alcohol and don't try cannabis.
