Smoking the drug has many of the problems associated with smoking tobacco, such as bronchitis, lung cancer and heart disease. The effects of cannabis may cause special risks for people with breathing and respiratory problems. Alteration of visual, auditory, and olfactory senses, disorientation and fatigue can occur, plus, it stimulates the appetite. Cannabis can cause tiredness, reddening of the eyes, dry mouth, an increased pulse rate and a drop in blood pressure. While the drug's effects last, it is harder to concentrate and driving may be difficult – and dangerous.
