There's a catalogue of ways in which alcohol affects the motor system. Here goes: slower reaction time by 10 to 30 per cent; reduced ability to perform two or more tasks at the same time; impaired ability to see distant objects – night vision can be reduced by 25 per cent; loss of peripheral vision.
