Cannabis is a depressant drug with hallucinogenic properties. It comes from the plant Cannabis Sativa, which grows in a variety of climates and can reach up to 15ft. in height. Its leaves are made up of four to eight smaller lance-shaped leaves with saw-toothed edges and the leaves, buds and resin can all be harvested for use. When smoked, it has a sweet, herbal smell. Cannabis comes in three main forms: resin, marijuana (grass) and oil. Also known as skunk, herb, marijuana, pot, weed, dope or hash, the mind-altering constituent that cannabis users enjoy is called delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). In pure form it is a glassy solid when cold and becomes viscous and sticky if warmed.
