Molly says in her interview with FourDocs that she only ever makes one film: about Institutions changing. Her films seem old-fashioned, but they have a sly way of penetrating traditional British life. Molly creates intimate portraits of her subjects by interviewing them in a conversational style. She becomes very involved with her contributors during filming, which she says renders the process of making films very draining for her. The result though is always rewarding for the audience.
