COMMENTThe Drenica Valley in Kosova provides the backdrop for this observational documentary about the Albanian fight for independence from Serbian control. In 1912 Kosova became part of Serbia. Most Kosovans are Albanian Muslims and want their independence from Serbia. The Kosovan Liberation Army or KLA put up some resistance against the Serbian police but they have few resources. It is the local people who live in the valley who suffer the most. Be prepared for a hard watch with images of dead bodies.
