Makes 8
Takes 10 minutes to make and 20 minutes to bake, plus cooling

Nutritional Information

Per serving:
208kcals
11.5g fat (5.5g saturated)
2.8g protein
25.9g carbs
8.7g sugar
0.4g salt

Ingredients

  • 375g pack ready-rolled puff pastry, at room temperature
  • 2 Golden Delicious apples
  • 1 tbsp caster sugar
  • 3 tbsp apricot glaze (we like Supercook, from major supermarkets)

Method: How to make quickie apple tarts

1. Preheat the oven to 200°C/fan180°C/gas 6. Unroll the pastry, cut in half lengthways, then cut each half into 4 smaller rectangles, to give 8 in total. Lay out on 2 baking trays.

2. Cut the apples into quarters and remove the cores. Slice each quarter thinly and lay on top of each pastry rectangle, overlapping them down the centre. Sprinkle with the sugar and bake for 20 minutes, or until the pastry is cooked and golden.

3. Spread the apricot glaze over the tarts while still hot, then set aside to cool. Serve with cream or ice cream.
