This lemon, Parmesan and smoked salmon linguine is one of the quickest pasta recipes you'll ever make - and one you'll want to make again and again

Serves 2
Ready in 12 minutes

Ingredients

  • 200g linguine
  • Butter, for frying
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 200ml pot half-fat crème fraiche
  • Zest of 1 large lemon
  • 25g fresh Parmesan, grated
  • 75g sliced smoked salmon, cut into strips
  • Few wild rocket leaves, to serve (optional)

Method: How to make smoked salmon linguine

1. Cook the linguine according to packet instructions (Watch Gordon Ramsay's step-by-step video on how to cook pasta perfectly).

2. Meanwhile, melt a little butter in a pan and cook the garlic until softened. Add the crème fraiche, lemon zest and Parmesan. Cook for 1 minute and remove from the heat.

3. Drain the pasta and toss with the sauce and smoked salmon. Divide between 2 bowls and garnish with the rocket to serve, if you like.

  1. I agree with Hungry Joe. I don't mind the cheese but the lemon zest makes the dish pretty rank. Its worth trying once but it is a bit of a waste of salmon i am sure there are nicer ways to cook with it or even having it with a bit of bread and a squeeze of lemon is better than this.

  2. I am not a good cook, so was pleased to find a simple recipe to make a light lunch using smoked salmon - what a waste of salmon. Far too much lemon and cheese in this recipe. Disgusting and a waste of good ingredients :(

  4. Really not sure about this one at all!! Followed measurements exactly an hardly any sauce for the amount of pasta and tasted far too much lemon and used a small one rather than a large!! Won't be cooking this again any time soon!!
