5. Yellow bean (Image 5 of 8)
Predominantly used in dishes from Beijing, the yellow bean is mostly used in paste form when it has been fermented and mixed with salt, water and wheat flour.
It is mostly used to make a fried noodle dish called zhajiang mian.
