Who know a loaf could be so tasty? Just add sweet stuff to make this comforting pud from Passion Restaurant, featured on Dolce Vito: Dream Restaurant

Ingredients

  • 50g softened butter
  • 200g bread
  • 60g sultanas
  • 6 eggs
  • 1½ pints of milk
  • 50g sugar

Method: How to make bread and butter pudding

1. Pre-heat oven to 180°C and find a 1.5l ovenproof dish.

2. Butter the bread and layer into the dish, sprinkling the sultanas in between.

3. Beat the eggs and sugar together in a bowl then add the milk slowly.

4. Pour the mixture over the bread. Leave to stand for 15-20 minutes.

5. Cover the dish and bake for 30 - 40 minutes.

6. When cooked, leave to stand for 10 minutes before serving.
