The Film: The Silence of the Lambs
The Plot: Tough FBI agent Clarice Starling gets inside the mind of serial cannibal Hannibal Lecter in a quest to catch a deranged killer on the loose in the US. The pair develop an intense sexual chemistry that leaves the audience licking its lips.
The Food: Human liver, fava beans, a nice Chianti.
What you'll need: An incarcerated serial killer, a high-security jail cell and a penchant for human flesh.
Ideal for: The criminally insane and their admirers, lovers of Italian fine wines and those not too fussy about the source of their ingredients.
Pulling potential: As success ultimately involves loss of organs if not life for one partner and a probable spell in jail for the other, the chances of this one leading to long-lasting romance are pretty slim.
