Woodruff is also known as wild baby's breath thanks to its strong, sweet smell. See the rest of Simone's menu.

Ingredients

  • 1 litre of white wine, riesling is perfect
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla sugar
  • 1 bunch of wood ruff
  • 1 twig lemon balm
  • 1 small bunch of mint
  • 1 bottle champagne
  • 1 lime

Method: How to make waldmeister maibowle

1. Take a large jug and add the wine. Tie the herbs together and hang for half an hour in the wine. Add sugar.

2. Take out the herbs and fill the jug up with champagne.

3. Finely slice one lime and pop it in as finishing touch. Very fresh and fruity!
