Neil upped the caffeine ante with his dessert of tiramisu on Come Dine With Me Huddersfield

Serves 4-6

Ingredients

  • 200ml cup strong espresso coffee
  • 4 tbsp caster sugar
  • 3 tbsp masala
  • 250g mascarpone cheese
  • 397g can condensed milk
  • Roughly 24 boudoir biscuits
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder

Method: How to make tiramisu

1. Pour the espresso coffee into a saucepan and add the sugar and masala wine. Bring to a simmer and leave to bubble until reduced by half. Pour into a shallow dish and leave to cool. Mix the mascarpone cheese with the condensed milk until completely combined.

2. Dip half the boudoir biscuits quickly into the coffee mixture and then arrange in a single layer across a shallow rectangle dish. Spoon over a third of the mascarpone cream and then top with a second layer of dipped biscuits. Finish with a third layer of the cream. Chill until ready to serve.

3. Just before serving, dust with sifted cocoa powder.
