Try this spicy little Spanish number and give your dinner party some kick

Serves 4

Ingredients

  • 2 - 3 chillies
  • 5 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 20 large raw prawns in the shell
  • Salt & black pepper
  • Crusty bread to serve
  • Wedges of lemon

Method: How to make sizzling prawns

1. Split the chillies lengthways and discard the seeds. Do not touch the seeds as this may cause irritation to the eyes, nose & mouth. Wash hands to avoid this.

2. Heat 4 tablespoons of oil in a large frying pan and stir fry the chilli and garlic for 1 minute or until the garlic turns brown.

3. Add the whole prawns and stir fry for 3 - 4 minutes ensuring they are well coated with the flavoured oil.

4. Remove from heat and place into a serving dish. Drizzle with the remaining oil and serve immediately.
