1. Place the sugar in a saucepan and stir in 300ml cold water. Stir until dissolved, then bring to the boil and simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from the heat and leave to cool for 30 minutes.
2. Blend the raspberries in a food processor. Add the cooled sugar syrup and wine and blend for a few seconds more. Pour into a rigid freezer-proof container and freeze for 2-3 hours.
