Darren's no minute man - he took his time to create a hot chilli for his Come Dine With Me Devon guests
1. Brown the mince in a large frying pan or wok until just cooked. Splash mince with a little soy Worcester sauce. Stir in the onion and cook for 3-4 minutes or until starting to soften.
2. Add the chopped tomatoes and tomato puree. Stir well and cook for a few minutes until hot. Sprinkle over the garlic and add a splash of Tabasco sauce, the chilli powder, packet mixes and beans in chilli sauce. If you don’t like your chilli too hot, omit the chilli powder.
3. Add enough water to make a thick sauce and leave to simmer gently for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally and adding extra water if the sauce becomes too thick. Serve with nachos, ciabatta bread and dips.
Please note this recipe is the contestant's own and has not been tested professionally. Like the Come Dine With Me contestants, you could be creating a culinary delight or dining disaster, so switch on your ovens and be bold
