Michelin-starred chef, bestselling author, television star, family man and marathon runner: Gordon Ramsay is a truly global talent.
After a promising future playing football for Glasgow Rangers was denied by injury, Gordon embarked on a culinary career working with some of the world's top chefs including Marco Pierre White, Albert Roux, Guy Savoy and Joël Robuchon.
In 1993 he shot to fame for his work at Aubergine where he won two Michelin stars.
Five years later he established his eponymous restaurant in Chelsea which remains the only restaurant in London to hold the restaurant world's most coveted accolade of three Michelin stars.
Since then, Gordon has established a world renowned culinary empire working closely with some of his famous protégés – think Angela Hartnett, Jason Atherton and Stuart Gillies –.
He now operates many successful pubs and restaurants across the UK and as far afield as New York, Tokyo, Los Angeles, Dubai, Prague and Dublin. He has also established a successful cookery school to ensure his empire will endure for years to come.
This year has seen Gordon open his first restaurant in France at the legendary Trianon Palace & Spa in the beautiful surrounds of Versailles, Paris.
He has also recently launched the carefully named Plane Food: a 180-cover restaurant at the newly built Heathrow Terminal 5; Maze Grill: a stylish and relaxed New York-style grill restaurant in Mayfair with Jason Atherton at the helm; Gordon Ramsay at The London West Hollywood: a distinctive restaurant and bar styled for the sophistication and glamour of Hollywood; and The Warrington: his flag ship London pub, beautifully and sympathetically restored to its former glory.
