
Fancy the taste of treacle but can't quite handle a stodgy pudding? Indulge in some liquid refreshment with this cheeky cocktail from Myles Cunliffe at Shaker
1. Douse the sugar cubes in the Angostura bitters and drop into a glass. Add 1 shot of rum and stir to dissolve the sugar. When the sugar is 50 per cent dissolved add another shot of rum and 1 cube of ice.
2. Stir gently allowing the ice to melt then after a minute add the second ice cube and continue to stir - you should see the volume of liquid slowly begin to rise. When the ice is almost melted, top up the glass with the remaining ice and a splash of apple juice. Serve without a straw - this one is meant to be sipped.
