1. Cut the strawberries in half from top to bottom (or leave whole if they're small). Thread each berry on to a cocktail stick, add a rolled-up piece of ham, then a mint leaf, and serve.
More strawberry canapé suggestions:
Strawberry and gherkin: skewer one small gherkin and one whole or halved strawberry (depending on size) on a cocktail stick.
Strawberry and peanut butter: halve a largish strawberry and spread the cut side with about 1 tsp crunchy, no-sugar-added peanut butter. Skewer on a cocktail stick.
Strawberry and mushroom: thickly slice a few button mushrooms and sauté in butter, over a medium heat, until tender and starting to turn golden. Season well with salt and pepper. Put a slice of mushroom on a cocktail stick and add a whole or halved strawberry (depending on size).
