Willie thinks our taste buds have been ruined by generations of sweet confectionary: "Chocolate to me has to have some purity to it." It's not just Willie who's disillusioned with the Great British chocolate bar - Spanish, French and Italian chocolate makers think our bars fall short of the mark and should not be sold as chocolate.
In a boutique chocolate shop in Barcelona, Willie offers the owner a block of one of Britain's favourite chocs. "When you're used to our chocolate it's very difficult to eat this kind of chocolate," she says politely. "It's mostly milk, sugar and fat - right?"
In Spain, dark chocolate is where it's at. "People are talking care of their health," explains the shop keeper. "They are starting to know and like the stronger chocolate."
