Like the Red Tractor, The Quality Standard Mark for pork helps concerned consumers identify piggy products that satisfy British minimum legal standards at all stages of production from farm assurance to transportation, slaughter and processing.
About one-third of imported pork is raised and produced using methods compatible with key aspects of British pig welfare legislation and its producers are therefore entitled to use the Quality Standard Mark on its pack, featuring the flag of the product's country of origin.
