Outdoor bred, outdoor reared, standard, organic, free range - there are many ways of labelling pork - but as much as bangers and bacon are British favourites, how many of us know where our pork comes from or how the pigs were raised?
The reason for our 'pig ignorance' is probably because there's no legal requirement for retailers to explain their definitions, and some labels manage to confuse us with so much information as to be almost unreadable. So whether it's the hit you take in your wallet that's most important, or concerns about cruelty, or even a patriotic support for British farmers, here's what you need to know.
