It's almost time for the fireworks so Hugh head's to the kitchen to conjure up some bonfire treats. First up, marshmallows, and Hugh likes his sweet treats minus the additives. Instead of using artificial colourings he turns to his old friend the beetroot to add a splash of colour.
Now to fuel the guest's furnaces - using some of Pam's medlar chutney Hugh rustles up a seriously spicy lamb curry that's sure to keep people's fires burning.
Time to light the logs. There's a marshmallow eating competition, hot roast pork sandwiches, apple bobbing and curry galore. But as the fire dies down it's time to bid farewell to River Cottage. "Wrap yourself in a delicious blanket of delicious seasonal food," says Hugh, "and I'll see you next spring."
