Hugh's not even forking out for booze for his party. He's roped in forager friend, John, with the promise of a free pint of nettle beer.
Hugh and John get to work snaffling stingers. John's no nettle ninny and shows Hugh how to grab a nettle without being stung; grip hard and pick with an up-and-under motion.
"It's all in the wrist action," he says.
Less of that please, John.
Back at River Cottage HQ, chef Gill is getting in on the nettle action and making nettle tagliatelle.
