We're deep into autumn and the harvest has been hearty for Hugh and his faithful River Cottage crew. As a reward for their hard work, Hugh's planning a slap up meal and, to show that you don't need piles of cash to dine like a king, he'll be foraging for all his food.
"The hedgerows, fields, woods and streams are chock full of ingredients," he says going in search of a free feast.
First up - meat - and Hugh's off to meet gamekeeper and forester, Tom, who's going nuts over squirrels. The grey squirrel has devastated the red squirrel population and causes havoc in the woodland, stripping bark and stunting tree growth. Happily for Tom, Hugh's here to help out and grab some game for the pot. If he can catch the little devils.
