"October's the perfect month to go potty on the beach."
Hugh's off for a spot of foraging.
The British coastline is heaving with prawns, crabs and even lobsters, all there for the taking. You don't need a boat, just a whole pile of 'pots' and the balls to wade into a nippy autumn sea.
Hugh's pulling out all the stops to try and catch some velvet swimmer crabs. If 14 pots don't capture the crabs, a sloppy bucket full of rotting fish heads and skeletons should do the trick.
And it seems Hugh's adding his own special ingredient.
"I've reached the correct depth for having a pee," he calls merrily. Maybe we'll skip this dish, Hugh. Thanks anyway.
