Hugh's Landshare project has been running for nearly a year and has been a runaway success. The aim was to connect land holders with land seekers wanting a space to grow their own produce but, as Hugh discovers on a trip to the Peak District, innovative planters have come up with all sorts of clever ways to tend the land.
An acre of land at Farnbrook alpaca farm is being given over to a company from London, looking to off-set their carbon emissions by planting trees. With 400 to set, everyone is happy to have a helping hand in Hugh.
To sustain the happy planters, Hugh makes a warming ham hock soup with parsnip and thyme bread, cooked in his Dutch oven.
