As the nights draw in, Hugh turns to home comforts.
"Winter is a time filled with heart-warming pleasures. We like to keep our toes cosy and treat our taste buds," he says.
Winter brings new and delicious ingredients for Hugh to play with. Meat is on the menu as Hugh's beef steer goes off to slaughter, forager John shows Hugh why it's important to know your mushrooms and there's a break with tradition, as Hugh attempts to lure his cider-loving neighbours to the pleasures of pear perry.
