Channel 4's very own Hugh is getting down in the shrubbery with a new series of River Cottage. Enjoy the best of the show with our exclusive video clips

Episode 1 - Peas and veal

pea canapes

Hugh kicks off River Cottage by saying: "Give peas a chance." It's all about the little green vegetable as he and the team transform them into delicious canapes and pea shooters. Veal's also on the menu, with Hugh giving us step-by-step recipes on how to cook herby veal kebabs and veal stew. There's also pesto, gorseflower wine and a wholesomely decadent wholemeal carrot cake.

Slugs
