Baker's apprentice, Sarah Bilson, is back to learn the art of scone baking from River Cottage baker, Dan. "If your scones rise as well as mine you're a fully fledged baker." Says Dan.
The proof of the pudding is in the eating and even with Dan's rigorous measuring Sarah scores on her scones. She does cheat a bit though.
Sarah's scones will be on offer at the River Cottage strawberry fair, served with clotted cream and Hugh's latest jam creations, strawberry and geranium jam and strawberry and gooseberry jam.
