As part of his transformation, Gordon brought acclaimed chef Vikas Khanna on board to revamp Purnima's menu. A year on and Vikas is still part of the team. His input has been invaluable.
The all new Purnima is a million miles from the grotty get-up Gordon witnessed. Best of all, there are no rotten burgers and no more bugs. Happy and proud, Mohammad takes Gordon on a tour of the squeaky clean kitchen.
Business is booming. Customers are flocking to the inspirational Indian restaurant and this once desperate dining room is now turning over almost $1,000,000 a year.
Mohammed says: "The best part of this is to let Chef Ramsay see how we've transformed."
Gordon says: "From the biggest disaster to the biggest transformation. It's on track, it's clean, it's delicious and now they have a proper vision. Thank God for that."
