It's opening night and the food is going down well but even with a top chef in the kitchen the other staff struggle to cope. As orders pile in, Martin's lack of leadership skills start to show. Waiters get confused, orders back up and food is left to go cold.

It's time for a pep talk. Gordon takes floor manager, Kahn, to one side. "Can you manage this place?" Gordon asks, "Stop blending in and stand on your feet."

With Kahn now at the reins food starts getting out hot and the night finishes on a high note.

Hi, i have just finished watching kitchen nightmares usa with my wife. It was good to see how the restaurants are doing a year later and how Gordon has helped with the success of them. One thing I did notice however is the name of Dillons restaurant. It had changed to Purnima, Dillons Restaurant, but the front sign (image 11 above) says Dillions Restaurant, which is different to the sides and front of the building. Is this intentional or a genuine mistake?? The programs make great viewing, especially seeing peoples reactions to Gordon change when they realise he knows best.
