It's the second leg of Neil and Richard's quest to brew the perfect pint. And after snubbing the scepticism of both the breweries and their brand manager, the pair are ploughing on with their beer fuelled dream.
As the lawyers liaise over the boys' bid to buy Yorkshire boozer, Ye Olde Punch Bowl, Neil and Richard discuss their team roles. "Neil and I have agreed that I am the operations director," explains Richard. "And, erm, Neil's title is celebrity executive operating officer." You just can't run a pub without one.
Richard and Neil want to convert their old outhouse into a state of the art micro brewery but first they need planning permission. The application forms are designed to be user friendly but does that apply to an actor and a chef? "State the applicant's interest in the land," reads Neil "Well we love the land because it's really green," he offers in his campest drawl. Perhaps the forms are better left to the experts.
