4. A local pub, not for local people

With Neil away at his acting day job, it's left to Richard to run the pub - and deal with the wrath of the punters. It seems the locals aren't too pleased with the perked-up Punch Bowl.
Patricia and John live 200 metres from Richard and Neil's pub, but prices under the new management means they now drive five miles to another boozer. Beer's up 60p per pint - that means these two would be forking out an extra £770 a year on their regular rounds.
It's not just the punters who are pouting. The pub's freeholder, Brian, has some choice words of his own on the pimped-up pub.
"We've got painted panelling in what I'd call yuppie green paint," he grumbles. "I think a lot of the modern input into this pub, in my view, is not right. It was a traditional pub."
"It was tired and dowdy," argues Richard.
"That's traditional," says Brian.
